Alley Hoops, founder of Tennessee’s own Ethereal Embers fire troupe, fell in love with the flow arts from the moment she picked up a hoop in 2015. In the years since then, she’s transformed her flow from a hobby to a calling, helping to found TN’s first FLOW education festival (TN EMBER), serving as co-lead of the flow conclave at To The Moon! – An East TN River Burn, founding Ehtereal Embers and What The Flow (a business specializing in custom-designed flow props, and representing the burgeoning Chattanooga flow community at events across the southeast. Specializing in hula hoops, fans, levi wand, and fire eating and breathing, Alley Hoops integrates elements of burlesque, pole dancing, and her own intense energy into a unique and mesmerizing performance that is always centered on the audience but springs from her creative center. With deep roots in the Tennessee mountains and an even deeper love for the kinetic artistry of fire and flow, she’s a woman on a mission: to help grow the southeastern flow scene, to inspire and be inspired by the amazing performers she works with and has learned from. To delight audiences everywhere she goes, and to spread the hoop love that changed her life. She is now a hoop teacher at the Moon Haven Dance Studio in Lafayette, GA along with her 2 other flow businesses and volunteer work.
