After having started a stressful corporate job, Ish decided to pursue hooping after seeing a girl rock out with a hoop at a party. Her journey began in 2010 with Toronto instructor Sadie Spins. The pure magic of the hoop took over and she found herself instantly hooked, finding a new creative outlet that incorporated dance, meditation and play. The next years were hoop-tastic: She found an incredible hoop community, attended hoop retreats all over the world and did a talk and performance at TEDx Bermuda in 2013. She has calculated she has probably spent close to 1200 hours hooping! Hooping quickly became her medium for expressing herself, as well as movement therapy, all while feeling completely free. Ish loves to share her joy of hooping through teaching and performing.
